People actually can physically secure your server?

Labels: ,

I've decided to go reading about the many web hosts I've found. I'm still apprehensive on picking up new people. But so far the hosts I've found were kinda shady - having barely any info on them, or finding out later they have a laundry list of angry customers.

This week I've landed upon a subset of hosting - colocation services. Now I've never knew of this, I mean I've heard of dedicated server hosting but not where you actually send your own server drive to a sort of warehouse. This seems more for a small business though. I mean we run a small server here in our geek lair but nothing that serious. Note that these guys do offer web based domains; they mention that they have high security both offline and online which ever way a customer chooses which is neat.

But even though this idea seems a bit too much for what I need, I know a few peeps that do need the managed hosting solutions. I mean one cousin is planning on fixing pcs and is recruiting a bunch of outside help to expand his business. And with the amount of pcs they use...why not?
