Other Blogs I Read Day-Dragon Blogger

Labels: ,

When I started on this blog, I had a mindset that I wanted it all: wanted the money, and the fame, and was right out the door ready to go. I had no clue where to begin or even how long the journey would be in the blogging world. I remember trying to join Social Spark...and then one guy sent me a helpful, grounded pm on how difficult this is and that if I needed help, he'd be there.

That person was Dragon Blogger. His was a blog full of techie and geeky fun. Full of advice and honest opinions on the latest tech gadgets and social media, but on top of that a swell father and devoted husband.

He runs three blogs...at the time I wondered how is that possible. Of course after separating this blog, and my personal life into another (and plotting on a possible third), I saw how easy it is to get wrapped up into blogging.

But he always gave pointers when I asked, and saved me from bigger mistakes in the long road, as always keeping my far fetched money making aspirations in check. Blogging isn't a get rich scheme. You plan ahead of course, have trial and error, but in the end its a slow rewarding process.

But then I saw this a few days ago on his blog. It made me pause: did I invest too much time on this blog? On one hand yes, yes I do. But I spend maybe a day or two writing posts in advance, and generally making sure my content is up. But SEO, 'web hunt' of keeping up appearances...maybe I do.

But I do because other than writing, I have nothing else to do. I have no kids to worry about. My family and I aren't 'touchy feely types' but we still talk to each other. And being the lazy gal I am, if it's too much work, I put it off. I loved that post thought. It made me think and evaluate what I am doing and how much time I could be devoting to other things.

This is but one of his many posts that draw you in. Every argument and opinion is well thought out, and open to discussion. I love his blog, and it's one I look up to in my journey. Also check out his twitter! He does daily twitter poems from words his followers on twitter suggest, and make these awesome poems out of them. Go check him out people!

Oh I was sitting on giving you a shout out for days, weeks even. But your article just kicked me in the pants. I always find your reviews utterly helpful and easy to read.
