Well damn. This game is rather fun.

Remember when I listed games I never had nor prolly would ever finish? Well I decided to pass the time as my grandma is still in the hospital, and life being murky, by playing a bit of Shadow Hearts. I initially planned on maybe a couple of hours, then maybe watching some TV. Two hours became 3, 4, 9+. The dated animation style, over the top characterizations, gave way to military intrigue in the middle of wartime Asia (an alternate reality of pre WWI me thinks while they were campaigning through China) mixed with esoteric, occult theories, with power mad Taoist (really!) leaders, crazy magic using guys, and that's not including the main cast...or at least the few I have so far. The graveyard place I currently ignore cause the Fox Face guy is lame XD but toying around with Yuri's transformations, the little white haired gal with "Demon Eyes", a spy, and a cranky Adept with a very flaming Acupuncturist are all likable yet quirky. Yes even the over the top spy grew on me. Oh and that annoying ass Judgment Ring? It keeps me on my toes...give the game a truly fated feel as every action has a chance to pass or fail. Now I'm gonna fire up the modded brick monstrosity that is my ps2 and see if the game carries on the fun times.

If you liked that one, you need to play the sequel as well.
